Samsung Hall at the SM Aura in Taguig was filled with hopes and dreams as Fashion Design and Merchandising students of the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde showcased their creations. Crafted with passion for fashion, this batch of talented graduating students made use of locally sourced and traditional materials to come up with contemporary and out of the box clothing experiments inspired by social issues and each of their own personal journeys.
From casual chic to quirky swimsuits to the most avant-garde dresses and coats, the runway of the Sinulid 2018 was overflowing with threads that make up the future of the fashion industry. Celebrities and industry greats also graced the event including former beauty queen Venus Raj who ruled the catwalk. To the surprise of the students, awards and recognitions were given after the fashion show—two of which were given by popular sneakers brand, Converse.
Being one of the country’s top fashion programs, DLS-CSB continues to enrich and make sure that their students don’t just get inspiration from existing international and local designers but to make a name of their own through their unique style techniques.
