It is always a delight to see fresh and modern fashion. More so if it is birthed from the young minds of millennials. And it is exactly what we witnessed at the De La Salle College of Saint Benilde Fashion Show. The annual runway show is organized as the culminating activity of the graduating batch from the Fashion Design and Merchandising program of the said college.
The fashion show, called SINULID, featured 25 upcoming talents whose designs range from ready-to-wear to avant garde to bespoke and everything in between. It supposedly showcases the marriage of design and business in fashion.
So without much further ado, here are the standouts from the fashion show. We’re on the lookout for these 12 young designers upon their launch into the real world of the fashion biz. Check them out below and scroll down at the end to see all the looks from the runway!
Hand-painted and raw, Deanne’s collection reflects Studio Ghibli’s film The Tale of Princess Kaguya, interpreting the dramatic movements of the wind.
Kirsten marries natural and synthetic materials, rendered in soft blooms, oozing with femininity but still wearable.

Fusing together architecture and fashion, Tonie gives a new spin to the woman’s silhouette through the contemporary cuts, the opulence of baroque era, and sleek modernity of neutrals and romance.
Inspired by the popular ’80s game, Nicole brings to life Pacman’s characters through its iconic bright colors in loose-fitting garments.
Andrea’s collection translates the concept of beauty in scars and wounds, similar to the Japanese art of Kinsugi, where shattered shards pieced together create something more majestic.
