TRANSFIGURATION [WIP 2020 FDESIGN] by Bugna, Franco ID#118

Fashion design is something that I’ve been interested in since I was young. The angle, color, and shape of female and male are my tools to visualize everything that other people can’t see shaping a nonstop move between craftsmanship and innovation around me and i want to promote Filipino aesthetics. And craftsmanship globally and take on the worldwide field. As of the moment I’m still in the stage of exploration and experimentation. But in captivated with combining the ready-to-wear and couture methods for womenswear. I need to see what works for me and what makes me feel original to me but beyond doubt my art/designs center on highlighting the excellence within the contrasts of ladies – like their sizes. Colors, and races. I moreover just like the sensitive approach through surface of textures with rich themes.

Dum spiro. Spero “while I breath. I hope is the word that popped up in my mind when I conceptualized this collection transfiguration is represented by the beauty of byzantine art in Constantinople transfiguration symbolizes research in the everlasting world of god. The divine light and the disclosure. In this collection i need to convey the messages of acceptance. Eagerness, and assurance to live a significant life. Regardless of the circumstances and where we are. I need to do something that initiated the inspiration in me to motivate others when I’m in trouble i just read the bible and i saw a verse: i have told you these things. So that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble but take heart! I have overcome the world. (romans 15:13) this collection is like an enormous piece of adornments just like the Byzantine’s mosaic expressions. The complete surface is intensely ornate its layered with a few bits and has numerous pearls. Brilliant spheres. Recycled beads. Emblems and more than hundreds of faceted precious stones the piece reflects light well enough that it sparkles indeed in the dimmest lighting fair as how the plan reflects on the surface of Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. The garment is wrapped up well with white glossy silk and gold crepe – a total bedazzled as the world proceeds to face many obnoxious circumstances. I accept that there will come a time where we might rise once more. I need the individuals who will wear my plans to feel peace and enabled at the same time after all the challenges and sacrifices that we faced. Will all that said. I needed to give hope to the individuals through my collection.
