The collection called “Ticking Time Bomb” is themed on the human state of unawareness and vulnerability to frozen methane. A sensation that we are unaware of yet are physically experiencing its repercussions, or possibly something that we tend to overlook. The shapes and patterns of frozen methane are designed to simulate the sensation of physically experiencing it.
I would Categorize my consumer as inquisitive and environmentally conscious individuals and values the history of the material used to create his or her garment. Creative and love to explore new things and wear Rtw – street wear haute couture detailing.
My work focuses on the beauty and destruction of frozen methane. And is shaped for functional adaptability, tailored for future commuters who embrace the fashion lifestyle of metaverse.
The collection is created using deadstock fabric and develop material out of jackfruit leaves, fallen leaves were collected from two different location and subjected to the material soening process.
By providing both process and the material information, my work encourages transparency throughout the design process. The circularity of various elements such as recycled spun thread and zippers was used to show the design. Other new material include snaps, cord stopper and garter. Along with traditional handcras such as weaving and embroidery.
My initiative attempts to instill a sense of responsibility for current issues such as climate change and waste, whether they are the result of manmade or natural causes. Utilizing existing material , I see this as an opportunity for us to set a paradigm for innovation and in the trend- setting fashion industry.
