Hi! I’m Denise Shaznay Barachina. “Shazy” for short. As a person who keeps all her true thoughts and emotions inside her head, my designs serve its purpose as the windows to my inner world. Just as I dress to express, I also design to define. Define my mood, my message, and my unexposed ideas. I treat my designs as a reflection of myself, usually using anime culture as a design aesthetic inspiration as it has played a huge part in molding me as an individual.

Stuck in 2.5 by Shaznay Barachina, fuses the idea of being in-between the real world and the fictional world by incorporating anime culture influences to casual wear. wherein the prints and embroidery were not only an attempt to introduce the designer’s original character, BNNY, but also to acknowledge how the culture has strengthened the designer throughout the years. This is a collection of armors for warriors like her and with this, she aims to give back to the local anime community she is a part of.
