Throughout history, women have been systematically withheld from positions of power, hindering their ability to contribute fully to society. This gender imbalance not only perpetuates inequality but also deprives us of the diverse perspectives and talents that women can bring to the table. Dissidia: The Destruction of all Reality aims to depict the tough times women experienced during the medieval period to have the power to reclaim their narratives. The collection aims to reinvent the idea of evening wear by infusing history and modernity wherein women of the medieval era were mostly withheld from positions of power. By excluding women from positions of power, we are denying young girls to fearlessly aspire to be the woman they want to be. With different evidence in our history, it only proves that society continues to hinder women’s access to positions of power. We owe it to the young girls out there to empower them and encourage them to be the woman they wanted to be.
