The concept is inspired by a Filipino cleaning tool, Walis tambo or in English, soft broom. Walis tambo is known as an iconic tool in the Philippines.
Hinabing Pintas or when translated as “A Beauty that was Woven Together” is a manipulation collection integrating the structure and hand-woven techniques seen on the walis tambo. Weaving together the concept, manipulation and technique to see the beauty of the cleaning tool’s construction.
This collection would make you ask a question on how it would look if walis tambo is being worn? How would it possibly move? A series of movements from very stiff pieces and poses to a softer movement of design
