The recent Taal Volcano eruption that happened in early 2020 shed inspiration to the designer — hence, the birth of Explosion. It is not the eruption per se that inspired the designer, rather, the optimism of the affected Filipinos towards the tragedy. Explosion will focus on the effects of the eruption — the lava, smoke, and ashes. I incorporated textured materials in order to showcase the elements of the eruption. With that said, the purpose of my collection is to exhibit that something beautiful can happen out of a tragic experience.
